Is there a solderless mod for the wii? like swap magic? if there is not, when will it come? is it possible? I NEED ONE BADLY!!!!

no, and I have not heard about one comming, just get a wiikey and pay someone to install it if you cant yourself. It works perfect, I have not ran into a single problem yet

1. There are no void stickers on the Nintendo Wii. So it would be hard to know if you opened up the Wii or not. Plus if you get a professional or someone that has experience soldering to install the Modchip you should be safe.

2. Paper Mario or any other upcoming games that have system updates on them will not be a problem if you keep your Wii up to date.

Paper Mario bricked Wii's on users that had a Modchip with region free abilities. They used the NTSC version of Paper Mario on their PAL Wii which did not have the system updated. Paper Mario checks the system firmware and if it was below the firmware on the disc it would update the unit. This updating their PAL unit with the NTSC firmware bricking them.

This is the reason you need to keep your Wii system updated. Keeping it updated will avoid the game disc from updating it off the game disc itself. You also can avoid bricking if you just use the game disc that your system region is in. If your system is PAL, only backup PAL games. If you want to use the region free setting and play an NTSC game then make sure your Wii is updated with the newest firmware.
