You need an authoring program to combine the video and audio.

http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/...uthor_guide.cfm

Or take the original AVI and convert it to DVD files using this software

http://dl.afterdawn.com/vsoDivxToDVD_setup_v0.5.2b.exe

Import the file(s) (AVI, MPEG, VOB)
Output (standard DVD file format) to a folder on the HDD.
Set 'Aspect' to 4:3 (if you have a regular tv)
Set 'Standard' to NTSC (if you live in North America)

Use Nero burning ROM to burn the files to DVD.
Alternatively, burn with freeware, DVD Shrink + DVD Decrypter.

Or IFOEdit, which is my favorite one (less room needed, for authoring). Just DVD___DVD Author; select the M2V, the audio (MP2 or AC3; you can also dell it to show a determined language type; default is German). Optionally, you can insert a SUP file (subtitles) and a chapter positions file.
To insert chapters (alas , you cannot directly jump to a movie point), just import a plain ASCII "chapters.txt" file, which is:

8991
17982
.....

for NTSC (29.97 fps) and

7500
15000
....
for PAL (25 fps).

Obviously this is just a suggestiopn, you can change the interval. With those files any pression of the 'next' button will make you skip 5', because that file says that:
chapters_N = fps*5*60*N = (300*fps)*N (fps = 29.97 or 25).
Doubling the interval (15000 = 300*25 for PAL or 17982 = 300*29.97 for NTSC) will make you skip 10' and so on.
