Torrent Damage is quite good.
Depends what you're after. There are lots of specialist sites out there, like "BitMeTV" for tv episodes, "Oink" for music and BlackCats for games.
Don't ask for invites for any of them here though, that'd break forum rules. :)

i had a look at those sites but unfortunately they are invite only
and i am pretty new to this whole downloading thing so i have missed the boat. any other sites that that you dont need invites for that would be a s good as torrent leech

I know they are invite only. And no, nothing as good as TL is invite free. Try this torrent search engine...

hi can any1 tell me if i can burn movies on to a dvd which i downloaded from bittorrent.i want to be able to watch on my dvd player.do i need software to convert the torrent file so my dvd player will understand it and if so is there any free software i can download.

You don't burn the torrent file. You have to open the torrent file with your torrent client like utorrent, then download the files which get burnt to a dvd.
Once downloaded, you will need two programs..
WinRAR and
ConvertXtoDVD
However, there's a long way to go before you get anywhere fast.

LOL, n00b days, but still I always opted to find things out on my own, and just kinda learned how that stuff worked.
It depends on what format the movie is, if it's dvd NTSC or PAL and your dvd player supports one or the other, then it will. If it is a dvd converted to say, DivX or XviD, then you must have a DivX compatible dvd player. Such as the Philips dvp642 for example.

I have not read all posts so I do not know whether it has been mentioned yet, but I would recommend Demonoid.com, when I first came across this great torrent site, I never liked it much, but its constant deliverence has had me crawling back to its website time and time again, it delivers a whole range of material from TV shows to the most scarce of apps, that usually are really hard to find on other torrent sites.
It also has a really friendly (according to me) uploading system, therefore more people usually upload, and the theory is, that there is more content.
