I just got a new GCN controller to play homebrews with the Wiikey, however, it seems like the controller is not-functional--thing is, the controller is new. What could be the problem? Do I have to install 1.2 for the Wiikey maybe?

I know this sounds noobish, but make sure you are plugging it into the first port, not the fourth. My mistake was thinking that the first port was the one all the way towards the back of the wii, when in fact, it is the port near the front of the console.
I thought my controllers were not working either (I have a wii-key), but then my dumb ass discovered that I was plugging it into the wrong port this whole time. Aftermarket and Wavebirds work just fine. Hope this helps!
