I would probably get Verbatim DVD-R's instead of plus, although a lot of people use +R's flawlessly I know that -R's have a higher success rate.

and that is the right LG drive you need.

I would also recommend the Verbatim DVD-R instead of +. Other than that it all looks on the up and up.

sounds crazy, but I have had 100% success with the cheaper "Playo" brand which I got for like $6 (50 pack) at Circuit City.

Iv'e done just fine with memorex, & TDK, I highly suggest that you stay away from Maxell or Fugifilm thoungh, those disc just begin to degrade because of the cheap material. Though universaly Verbatim is supposed to be the best but what works works.
