also if it is a clone will it update? Look at the connector near C1 it almost looks like it doesnt make a connection.

Ok so i think its a clone ... now its installed and having major issues. At first it wouldnt eject or even load any dvd. Found that R1 wasnt soldered on the chip all the way. This fixed the loading unloading issue but backups still would not play. Could this be due to bad media (tried 4 different types, memorex +r, comp usa -r, verbat -r, HP -r, on two different recorders nec 2500a and a newer nec 3500 or something not sure)

What do you guys think i believe it to be the chip from ebay? Do not buy chip from ebay not worth the trouble!

I would say it is the clone on the bottom right. Not to be mean but do a little more research next time and don't buy off E-bay, but I see you have learned that lesson already. Sorry dude. I ordered off Modchipstore.com and had 0 problems with my chip. Try them if you get another chip.

I learned but i do not understand why it would matter clone or not it is the exact same thing? Also its just as hard to sell fake ones as it is real ones so why rip people off. I got a feeling i just got unlucky but i dunno... i wont order from hong kong again though or fleebay

Yep, it's a clone. Clones do not even work at all or will cause problems. Take it off IMMEDIATELY and get the real one from an official retailer.

Don't post your opinion as fact. I've installed many clone wiikey's before and they work just fine. I haven't had a single complaint about any clones. People have been banned for making posts like this *cough* tabletpc *cough*

Listen to all these people say it's a clone.
They're all wrong. Tell them to take a closer look at the comparison pictures.
It is VERY hard to tell so it isn't that they're blind, it's just they didn't look hard enough.
your mod chip is the first version official wiikey display in the upp left corner.
It is not a clone.
Don't believe? Look harder.
I can't belioeve so many people are telling this guy it's a clone when it's not.

yeah well clone or not i sure didnt work ... also i thought it was a original but couldnt tell ... it doesnt look like any clones on the main site ... someone said big print ... i thought the print was acutally small o well clone or not it doesnt work :(
