I put a dvd to burn. Nero popped it out. Someone hit the drive. The drive tray part that ejects came out fully ( i am holding it in my hand)while the part that is plugged into my computer ( via ide ) is still intact. My computer doesn't register the drive ( haven't restarted) anymore.Any fixes?

No, you're drive is broken beyond reasonable repair. Unless you can attach the disc tray back to the main drive then forget it, recognised or not.
