Hi,
Sorry if this is a stupid question.
I have tried to write a VCD using Nero.
I put a few differant short mpegs on it.
All of them play on the PC but when I try to play them on my standalone dvd player most of them play BUT some don't.

When I put them into Nero it came up with a warning saying some of the files were not valid for creating a standerd VCD. I tried leting Nero re-encode them but it kept freezing.
I then just clicked on the "turn off standard comliance and continue" button and proceeded with burning the VCD.
All went well, but some of the files that came up with the warning in Nero only played sound and no picture on my dvd player.

I want to know how to re-encode NOT in Nero but using some other software so I can mke them VCD compliant. I only have the mpeg files, I have not got the avi files.
So I want to go from a non-compliant mpeg to a VCD complient mpeg.

Hope that all made sense and somebody can help.
