NeroVision 4 keeps crashing on me

what gives? i'm trying to burn my custom made DVDs using Nero Vision 4 and whenever it is transcoding, it will constantly just crash and disappear on my desktop. i have to keep opening it again and go through the whole Transcoding process and it still does that. what the heck is going on here? i'm using Nero 7.5.9.1 by the way. should i upgrade to a newer version or downgrade? i'm thinking downgrade....

Hello.

Unfortunately, this isn't uncommon with Nerovision.

How much memory do you have?

Menus sometimes cause problems.

Don't try to transcode and burn in one step. Just use the Image Recorder to create a disk image of the project and then burn that created image file in a separate step with Nero or ImgBurn.

You might give 7.8.5.0 a whirl. In any evet you need to uninstall the current version, run the Nero Clean Tool and the Nero Driver/Regisdtry Clean Tool and reinstall either 7.5.9.0 or 7.8.5.0. Version 7.0.8.2 was fairly decent as well.

You could also try another authoring program like TMPGEnc DVD Author:

my Memory RAM is 896 MB and i using Vista right now. Processor is an AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core Processor 3800+ 2.00 GHz.

i guess i should uninstall my current version and try to use 7.8.5.0. if that doesnt work, i really want to go back to the earlier versions of 7.0. i never had any problems with those. how strange that the newer versions can give you so much troubles compared to the older ones.
