I have an emachine notebook (M5405). I reformatted the hard drive and installed a new OS. Everything was working fine before and everything is working fine now except when I play a DVD there is no sound. I can watch videos on the internet with sound and play audio CDs and the sound works fine. Just don't have any sound w/ movies for some reason. Drivers have been updated. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Most likely ,you need to reinstall a dvd audio codec or a stand alone player which has the needed codec included.
