Hello!

I have a slimline ps2 modded with matrix infinty 1,75. Lateley, i believe my laser is causing some issues, every now and then during gameplay the ps2 makes that squeek-noice that sounds when you start the slimline ps2. When the noise sounds, the laser starts sounding, and the game crashes.

Is it the laser that has to be changed? Anyone knows what to do?

sounds like your laser is misaligning erratically, i would replace it before it gets knackered and causes more problems - 15 bucks on ebay should sort you out.

check your version compatibility first
