Hello,

I am a newbie so please bare with me. I bought a new dvd player that will play XviD files, and now I can not seem to burn them onto a dvd disk. I have tried several times with Nero Startsmart. But the burn always fails.
Could someone please help me!

I assume you are creating a 'Data DVD' disk with Nero Express.
Put the blank in the drive before starting StartSmart, this ensures that you can select the burning speed.Don't burn over 4x.
See if that helps.

..therefore I assume you are NOT creating a 'Data DVD' with Nero. Do it.
