I have grown attached to this kd3 during my recent transition to linux, but when I tried to burn .mp3 files to an audio cd and it says the format isn't supported and that I have to convert the format

I want to continue to use kd3 and I was wondering if there are plug ins or some other method get around this without converting

You should install libk3b2-mp3

It should be in your repos

it wasnt libk3b2-mp3 it was like k3b-mp3 or somthing like that on the opensuse repository
