yea, any time ive ever burned a DVD video with subtitles (anime) for a 4:3 television the subtitles never fit on the screen they are always below it. why does Nero make the video too large for TV's? It works fine on any monitor, just not TV. edit: its already rendered subtitles, not seperate ones, so i dont think this falls under the subtitle board, its a sizing issue.
Is there anything i can do to change the resolution to smaller? i think resizing it to about 10 pixels shorter on 4 sides would solve it, err 20 pix on 2 sides w/e.
Also even though i have a brand new sony recorder 16x and ive tried 16x discs from sony,memorex,philips,verbatim,everyone, nearly all recordings at 16x fail unless they are extremely short.
i have 2gb of ram with 1.5 free at all times, not doin anything else so it has access to 100% of both cores. but i dont really care about this cause it burns fine at 12x 95% of the time, just wanna know about my first problem please.
Are these videos with the subtitles 'AVI' files that are being converted to DVD?
If they are AVI, how do they look on the PC before burning?
Are the subs viewable and not too near the lower edge?
The Nero Forum at Afterdawn says to use 'Made in Japan' or if not available, to use Verbatim at 4x maximum.
the subs easily have like .5-1 inch off the bottom of the monitor, yet are about 50% to 95% off the screen on ANY television. yea its AVI converted to DVD.
First try this converter.

Output (standard DVD file format) to a folder on the HDD.
Set 'Aspect' to 4:3 (if you have a regular tv)
Set 'Standard' to NTSC (if you live in North America)
Use Nero burning ROM to burn the files to DVD.
Alternatively, burn with freeware, DVD Shrink + DVD Decrypter.
