Hi,

I have an .avi file and an .srt file and they both play perfectly, only my subtitles come in slightly late - say 5 secs after the character has spoken. Can I change the timing so that the subtitles appear exacty when the character speaks and how do I do that? Thanks for your help.

Try subtitle workshop. Load the subtitle, select all the lines and then adjust. It has a built in preview to so you can check, plus a hot key for adjusting in 100ms increments so you can fine tune.
