Strange DVD problem

Hi guys

i modded my xbox with an xecuter 2.6 CE (with solderless adapter) about 2 weeks ago installed EvolutionX dash and everything seemed to be going fine until about 2 hours ago when my DVD drive ( Philips )started behaving erratically. At first i noticed it sounded like it was trying to initialize the drive even tho there wasnt a disc present, and now it point blank refuses to eject although once or twice i have managed to get it to eject by tilting it at a 45 degree angle towards the back.

i just wondered if any one could offer any insight in to the problem im having or wondered it it was just the case of my dvd dying.
