How to put an .ac3 file on a 700MB dvd

I have to put a ac3 surround audio file (encoded with Soft Encode) on a 700 mb cd to play with a dvd player and a 5.1 audio sistem.
1) Is Nero ok?
2) Which is the procedure?
3) Is a CD-R 80 ok, or I need a 4.2gb cd?
4) Do I use a dvd recorder, or can I use my old Yamaha CRW4260?
