I have a new laptop and I'm trying to install DC++ on it. I have Windows Vista and am trying to install DC++ 0.698 I keep getting the message "Error creating magnet registry key" So I can't connect to any hubs (or at least not the good ones) because it's showing as a share of 0. Any idea how to fix that?

Go into settings -> advanced and uncheck "Register with windows to handle magnet: URI links"

Unchecking the other "Register with windows" box wouldn't hurt either.

Thank you Kyle. Now im getting 2 new error messages.
1. TLS disabled, failed to generate certificate: The system cannot find the file specified.

2. Failed to load certificate file

Can anyone help me with these errors?

Hey All

I to have an error message from my DC++ install:

[10:13] TLS disabled, failed to generate certificate: The system cannot find the file specified.
[10:13] Failed to load certificate file
[10:13] File list refresh initiated
[10:13] File list refresh finished

Not sure what to do

I was able to get my DC++ working by diabling the PC Cillan fire wall that came with Vista and unchacking a TTH box under the Settings, Queue Tab...

I have the same problem; new laptop ASUS Z53series and Vista Home premium
windows Firewall is off; TTH (see hint above) also off but still same problem even with latest version 0.699
hope somebody can give a clue
