Is it possible to run roms through the VC emulators? I'm not talking about homebrew emulators running roms, but rather putting roms in the disc or in a SD card and running them as if they were just downloaded off nintendo's shop.

I'm specially interested in N64, since I pretty much skipped that console altoghether (but for Mario64), and I always wanted to try GoldenEye out. Not that I'm expecting to be blown away anyways, but I'm curious.

Is anybody around the scene taking a shot at making this possible? (or is it already maybe?)

Cheers

As of now No it is not possible homebrew is the only thing availabe, chances are it will never be possible in the way in which it reads the rom files from the actual syste, and probably all the encryption on the files from Nintendo's VSC are probably different than has ever been seen and unless the developers find a way of extracting those Rom files from the system we dont have anything to start on.

As far as the N64 goodluck, you will probably be waiting awhile this is the most requested emulator and nobody in the developement teams care to mess with it. In the meantime if goldeneye isnt already available for purchase in the VCS it will be soon enough
