I have a PAL wii with a wiikey instaled

I used the wiikey setup disc downloaded from the wiikey website.I activated the region override option and then restarted the wii.On turning on I have been displayed the message?You tried to access the address marc:EU/EU/ENG/Setup/ScreenSave.html, which is currently unavailable. Please make sure that the web address (URL) is correctly spelled and punctuated, then try reloading the page.
Make sure your internet connection is active and check whether other applications that rely on the same connection are working

I can?t seem to get this message to disappear and cannot access any part of the system. I have removed from the mains. Inserted and ejected the set up disc as well as PAL games. I tried selecting an option with the wii and game cube remote, i can move the wii remote hand cursor but cant select anything. any help would be greatly appreciated

Sorry to be a barrier of bad news.

But this is the message some Wii owners get with the Super Paper Mario brick.

This happens when playing a Super Paper Mario region disc on a Wii that is not the same region and your firmware is not up to date.

Example:
NTSC on a PAL Wii
PAL on an NTSC Wii

This is the first I have heard of this happing due to using the Wiikey setup disc and enabling the region override. (I see no possibility of the Wiikey Intsall disc or setting the enabling region override being the cause of this problem)

If you did play Super Paper Mario out of region disc then more then likely that is the problem. You flashed your Wii with the wrong region firmware. Which at this point there are no fixes.
