Problem with 16 bit / 32 bit

Ok, so heres the thing, FFVIII port on the pc uses 16 bit color to run, how can I play the game with 32 bit color instead of 16 bit? Asking for this because a game I play (conquer online) has a issue that occurs while its opened in 16 bit, the problem is that whatever happens in 16 bit is irreversible, I had to use system restore to get rid of it last time. Heres a SS of the issue with the game. Whenever I type a certain number of letters, the box and ascii letters appear(in the game, in the chat box).
