true but im lazy... he told my mom he did something to the mod chip so i cant play jap games because he thought i would be stupid and brick it.....

im trying to figure out what kind of mod chip it is so i can unblock it myself

just pull the wii apart thats easy to do and look at the chip but chances are your cousin is full of it if he tried to alter that chip chances are its not going to work depending upon what chip it is for examp if it's a wiikey you get the bootup disc and turn the multi region back on

well you should probably open ur wii and see which one you have but you can test to see if you have a wiikey by going to wiikey.cn or if you have a cyclowiz v2 then you should check teamcyclopes.com i think. Burn it using an image burning program I recomend imgburn to Nero and if you have a mac use disk utility or toast. Hope this helps =)

i decided to try the cyclowiz cd.... and it also works... now i really have no clue wahts in my wii... i guess ill ask him tomolo morning... (yep im impatient)

well if you don't intend to open the case try using the update option on the wiikey disc if it fails most likely not one of those if success you most likely have the wiikey
