What Modchip do you have? Why not use the firmware setup disc of that.

Plus I am sure the consequences would be nothing because you would actually need the Wiikey installed to make a difference.

If you have a Wiikey and do the setup disc and need to turn on the Region over ride just choose to enable it and save.

Due to the Wiikey stealth mode the Wiikey will still show the default settings which is off after you reboot. But the region over ride should still be ON.

Now try an import or an out of region game.

Before doing so make sure your Wii is updated with the latest firmware. Other wise if you play an out of region game that has a firmware update on it there is a possibility of the game disc upgrading your Wii with the incorrect region firmware which will brick the Wii.

i guess ill just ask which modchip is in my friggen wii

What out of region game are you trying to play? Plus what region Wii do you have and what Region is the game disc?

According to this compatibility list that game should be compatible in a NTSC(U) unit.

So you need to find out what Modchip it is and set the Region over Ride on.
