Hello,i recently downloaded a movie, that came in two avi's.The first part is out of sync but part two is fine. How can i resync part one, that it corrects my problem? Thanks in advance.
From 'Mistycat' Drag your file into the top window, highlight it and select "generate data". In the lower window' highlight the audio and if anything other than 0 appears to the right, select "start" and in a minute or two you'll have a new file to use.
I just downloaded that program but when i have my file highlighted their is no selection for "generate data".I just see where it gives me a option to select compression, configure conpression or no compression..Any other ideas out there..Thanks for you help.
No problem,i searched and found that program. However its showing a Zero, meaning the audio should not be out of sync but it still is..Just weird, this crap only happens to me..Thanks for all your help though.
Open the video in Media Player Classic, then click on Play -> Audio -> Option.
Tick the box next to Audio time shift(ms), and enter a number.
Click OK, and play the video.
Keep changing this number until the audio lines up.
Once you are happy that you have found the delay in milliseconds, open the video in virtualdubmod and click on Streams -> Stream List.
Right-click on the stream and select Interleaving.
In the bottom section of the dialogue, marked Audio Skew Correction, enter the number you found in MPC. Click OK, OK.
Video > Direct Stream Copy.
Click on File -> Save As, save a new, hopefully corrected, AVI file.
Classic media player does not seem to fix the problem. It does not even change it a bit..Is this method you told me,also called repacking? Thanks for all your help,i just guess this AVI is hopeless.
You should be able to advance/retard the audio.
Putting in 2000 should give a two second difference (try it with a good file).
Also you might go back to the GUI and save another copy of the AVI and recheck to see if the audio is still out.
(Highlight the file,generate data,start)
Atleast im getting somewhere.I found the perfect number 665(ms)in MPC.However when i use that same number in VirtualDubMod,there still is a 5-10 second delay of the sound, when i check the new video file.Should i up the 665(ms) to a higer number and try again? Thanks again for your help.

ATTAR,
I finally got my movie in sync.Man i was doing everything right, but when i first open up the video in virtualdubmod,it asks me for this option, and i kept on clicking on yes, while i should have been on no.Clicking on yes added me more of a delay or something like that.I want to personally say thanks to you,for helping me out.It Feels like The weight of the world is finally off my shoulders. Thanks again.Long Live AFTERDAWN!!!!
