Is Ritek G04 still good in 2007 ?

Hi all.. back in 2002/2003 .. Ritek G04 was a good media. I have used it for Data, PS2, and recently, Wii.

Now, in 2007, is Ritek G04 still a good media ? Those well known online seller like Meritline, SuperMedia aren't selling them anymore (except G04 Dual Layer)

I can only find it via Google like

So, first, if G04 still being made ? if so, is it still as good as it was 4 years ago ?

If not, should I go w/ Vibratum or TY like many ppl has mentioned here?

Ritek G04, wasn't that 4x media? Nobody's selling 4x media anymore except for Meritline which has Verbatim 4x white inkjet printable on it's site at a very good price. Something like $22 per 100. I know that G05 is 8x & people (including myself) have had problems with G05 becoming unreadable within a year. The Ritek 16x holdfs up very well.

Verbatim & TY is the best media out there...

Verbatim & TY is the best... that is what I have gathered by reading all these forums too.

So... are ALL Verbatim & TY good? regardless of speed and either they are printable / white / shinny etc etc.... aside from those "preference" stuff... are all Verbatim & TY good ? Or there are particular that I should be getting or stay away from ?

As far as I know (my own experience with each brand) Verbs & TY's are both good (great really) no matter which one you buy. Shiny/matte/printable they are all the same great quality.
