I would like to hear from some owners of the Wiid mod chip and where they bought it from. I have read and looked at the distributors at the Wiid website, but I want to know what site is the most reliable to buy from. Thanks =)

Below is the on-line store where I got my WiiD (You will need to get a tri-wing screwbit to disassemble the Wii) You can add the Tri-wing screwbit with your WiiD order. I only paid a few extra bucks for 2 day air and I received it the next day. So they where quick for me.

Thank you very much, did you have much experience with soldering when you modded your wii and was it very hard? I have heard that the quick solder method is not very reliable, did you install with wires, and do you have any thing to suggest that is not on the guides you have provided?

If your not very good at soldering then I would recommend sending your Wii in to be modded by a Pro.

Below is a reputable site that would do this.

http://www.teammodders.com/install/

The cost is $35 for the install. If you would like you can buy the WiiD from them also for an additional $40. Or you can buy the WiiD from an online store and send it in with the Wii for them to install it.

I installed the chip myself. I am not very good at soldering but I took a chance. I did find it easy to have a third hand. Someone else held the wire to where the soldering joint was to be. So it seemed easier for me to get the job done.

On another note I have seen allot of Wii owners brick their Wii trying to install it themselves. So it really is up to you. If you feel comfortable trying it then try it. If you want to be on the safe side then pay for a Pro to install it.

i have never soldered a day in my life before i did the wii. I went out and bought the smallest solder that Radio shack had and tinned each point this made it so easy. The only hard part was putting it back together. But then again I did a wire solder. The "quick solder" just seemed to iffy to me.
