I'm following Chris's guide, DVD-Shrynk 3 beta 5 + extras...
when i hit Analasys it takes up to 56 mins to analyse the disk.
why ?

It all depends on your comp&os and how it's configured/optimized,Cpu; P4's are a bit faster than Amd's, background process's running, amount of ram, amount of free space on your hd, swapfile status, last time you defragged your hd . Deep analysis takes 45-46 min on my rig so your not too far off.Is the movie a dvd 5 or 9 ect lot's of things can affect your performance.
As for why your's takes 10 min more than mine can't say without lots of details.

Deselect the deep analysis stage when u create backup. The more you compress, the longer it will take.

I'd look into another 512 stick of memory down the road.Especially if your running Xp. I think you'll find all your apps will benefit from the extra ram.
