Okay, so I work at this place where we sell "modded" sports equipment. We have some pretty good solderers, who usually work on things like VCRs and DVD players. Would they be capable of soldering the chip on for me? Also, what kind of wire does everyone use to solder the chip in?

If they can solder on small wires to small points, then I think you would be fine! I just took some phone cable, and stripped the wire out of that, and used that small wire, and my WiiD works great!
