OK, a few weeks ago, i purchased the Imation brand DVD-RW discs to record on my dvd recorder and they did great. Now recently, i purchased the same brand and the same kind and when i placed one in the recorder, it formatted the disc right away and said, This disc cannot be recorded. Can anyone help me and explain how is it that i bought this brand and kind a few weeks back and they recorded fine but yet just the other day, purchased the same kind and they could not be recorded on my DVD recorder? Any ideas would be most appreciated.

The name on the wrapper doesn't tell you who made them.
I use Maxell DVD-RW, but they are really 'optodisc'.
Imation may be 'optodisc', but they may also be 'cmc', which are not highly regarded in the Nero Forum.
