I'd like to save myself a bit of money by constructing my own S-Video cable for my Wii. I've seen a few component DIY projects, but my current TV doesn't support component yet. (Maybe after it kicks the bucket, or my second bedroom TV kicks the bucket, we'll spring for a new one, but for now...)

Anyway, like I said, I'd like to make my own cable. Even buying one on ebay will set a person back over $10 after shipping is included.

I'm hoping I can use the composite cable Nintendo included with the console, and possibly an s-video connection I have lying around from a past console. (Cut and splice.) But I'm a bit concerned about whether I'll need to add a wire coming off the Wii connector or whatever. I've found the pinouts here.

I've read that Luma is the Y, and Chroma is C when it comes to the S Video Pin Connector. That connector is detailed here. Assuming you know what you're doing, you'll probably not need to see that. :P

I could start hacking things, but I could end up without video connector for my Wii, and have to buy/construct a new one.
