This is my first time downloading music. when i try to download a song, i get this box saying that limewire cannot find a license. what should i do? should i say yes or no to downloading anyway?

your problem is very simple...use something other than limewire...it sucks. I recommend BitComet...have a visit to our "guides" section here...

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:
