Yes, you can still go online with a chip installed! If you are thinking about getting a chip for the Wii, I would recommend the WiiD! I installed it on my Wii, and they already have an update out for it (unlike the Wiikey...)! I can't recall though if all the Wii's can be modded?

Used search, couldn't find an answer, so I posted a new topic.

Is that ok with you?

but im not the one looking for the answer, and that would still be doing people's work for them, essentially answering the question, and encouraging people to NOT look for answers, instead just to post a question, no matter how many times it has been asked.

All I know, is this question, and several variations of it, has been answered many times. If a search did not find any answers, I find that really weird.

You are making a statement, all I am asking you to do is to prove it.
Had you been correct, you would have posted a link.
All your posts always say, use the search. Thats it. Why do you even bother for? Have you nothing else to do?

?All my posts always say use the search, yep... they do. Why? Cuz all the new posts, are asking questions that have been answered hundreds of times. Proving my point here, just answers your question, and works the same as if you just asked the question, and got an answer, without the search yourself. So no thank you, I wont be tricked like that, look around.

Very simply put, if you cant find them, maybe they got deleted or something, but I know several times the question of "can the wii go online after wiikey" or "can the wii go online after mod chip installed" or "can the system be updated" etc, have all been asked, and all involve being online with the wii, after a mod chip. Call me what you want, but hey, at least before I ask a question, I do a little research, and reading myself. Oh yes, why bother? Cuz if you have been around here a while, you get tired of the forums filling up with the same questions being asked over and over, and over and over, making new questions, or information people might actually b e interested in, get covered up with the same questions.

Anyhow, I dont know exactly what search words would be put in to find the threads, if there is in fact trouble finding them, however, I know this question has been answered many many times. I am through here.

Okay, to make this argument short... I searched and couldn't find anything! So, you can still go online with a chip installed!

Comes up if you put "Mod online" search "all of these words"

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/497868
This one is a little more general though, but refers to doing wii system updates online, after installing a chip, meaning that it can in fact connect online after the fact.

The above thread discusses it in the thread , in larry's replies and such

Also indirectly answers

And I know theres more, but these were found doing various searches like Wiikey online, and Wiid online, modchip online,
