I recently purchased one of these and after sometime playing around with Pinnacle Studio 8 I managed to backup one of my VHS tapes to DVD complete with menu and buttons. The drive burned the DVD+R at 2X write successfully. I then removed it from the DVD rewriter and placed it into my LG DVD-ROM drive which promptly said there was no media loaded. I then placed it back into the OptoRite DVD rewriter drive and tried to explore the disc from there. This also failed to open or explore the disc. I took the disc down to play on my domestic Pioneer DVD player and it played fine.

I guess I'm confused as to why at least the OptoRite DVD rewriter didn't recognise the disc it had written ? I can understand that perhaps the DVD-ROM drive couldn't read the DVD+R disc but for the drive that actually wrote the disc not to be able to explore it is strange isn't it ???

Any ideas..?
