OK I just bought an Epson R260 printer from Office Depot for $89 now I need some software that will print onto DVD's & CD's. Yes I could install & try the Epson Print CD software but before I do that I'd like to try something I read about here but don't remember what thread it was in. Basically is was either free or fairly low cost. There were several image sets you can use for free on the web site plus some you can buy. Anybody remember what this software is or it's web page? I have Nero Cover Designer but I'd have to read the manual first.....

I'm sorry to say that your Epson printer will only use the Epson Print CD to print onto the CD/DVD! All other programs are either for lightscribe disks or for paper stick-on labels. You can use the other programs for the paper stick-ons but I don't recommend you doing that! it will inhibit the DVD from being read properly and thus a Coaster! This is the reason why you bought the Epson printer.... so you don't have to use paper stick-on labels that make the DVD unbalanced and unreadable (eventually!). Use the Epson software .... you'll be happy you did! if you need advice on how to do something with the software.... just ask.

Discus look very good! I downloaded the trial version ..... I'll have to experiment... it does have an Epson Photo Stylus R Series printing option so I guess it's cool. I'll have to check this out when I do another DVD.... only thing is the Demo has DEMOprinted all over the final product.... so I guess the disk will have DEMO all over it! LOL but does look like a program that will work with the R200,300,and above!

@paiger651 ....let me ask you something....does it have a setting that you can scan a disk and snap it into place like Epson Print CD?

with Epson Print CD I can scan my disk and it will snap it right into place when I hit the Acept scan button from my scanning software! I don't have to move anything...... from what I see with Discus you would have to save the scan in a picture format and then import it and then maneuver the picture right into place! that's a lot more work than just scanning your disk and come out with this:

so I give Epson Print CD the heads up for time allowance and ease of scanning a disk to print.....and I give Discus the heads up for making your own CD/DVD labels! both are great and will do the job for you! How much is Discus? Epson Print CD came free with the printer! another plus for that software.

I have Epson Print CD that came free with my printer and Canon cd-label print free software and have tryed all the aftermarket software and nothing compares in ease of use, features and speed to Discus.I only use high resolution custom labels and covers so i cant answer your question about anything regarding scaning features I dont care for the quality of scanned images.I save all of my custom labels and covers in a folder which gives me instant access useing any print software.I do not have to maneuver the picture right into place once i click the add button in Discus but it does allow for much more adjustment's if needed. But your correct it is not free $45.00 but i got in on the Pre-Release at $25.00.

Here's a few examples of why i prefer useing custom labels instead of scaned ones.

Yes I know..... but how does those high resolutions look on a DVD? do you have pixs of them how they look? and did you make the one for Little Man yourself.
