Hi all, I've installed PeerGuardian, which seems a great program BTW and can understand the need to block the IP addresses of organisations against P2P etc from collecting data from my computer or tracking what I do. But I don't understand why it's also necessary to block HTTP as well. How could loading a webpage, such as Apple iTunes' store, compromise my security?
Thanks for any help and info.

It isnt, unless you are a perv or doing something highly illegal. When just browsing, turn it off, when using utorrent or something similar, turn it on. Just my opinion.
