It works with Epson's Print CD software with no problem however I tried Acoustica's CD/DVD Label Makera (latest version) & I get the following error: The source selected in the printer driver is not appopriate for the CD/DVD tray that is loaded in the printer.

I have the program set up for a CD & I also tried setting the Epson printer settings for CD printing. It doesn't work & this software is so much better than Epson's Print CD!! What do I do???

It WORKS with Epson software . . .

You get an error using Acoustica software . . .

Yet you say that the non-working Acoustica software is better than the working Epson software

Huh??

In another one of the plethora of threads you recently created, you stated that you didn't want to read the manual

Read the manual and if you still are having problems, check back in

correct me if I am wrong.... but isn't Acoustica CD/DVD label maker a program for just paper stick-on labels? I think you can only use Epson Print CD software to print directly onto the CD/DVD with your Epson Printer! duhhhhhh! READ MANUAL! this will stop all these types of questions. sorry if I am being sarcastic or coming off too strongly! but bratcher.... come on.... be happy with your Epson Print CD software ... it runs the printer! and here are some great results of some disks that I printed:

if you need help in using your Print CD software I can help you out..... and other members can help you too and are happy to reply! just ask! the software is easy to use!

I use Epson Print CD software as well as Acoustica CD/DVD label maker sotware. Accustica does allow printing with Epson printers, however,in my opinion, Epson Print CD is better at printing CD's or DVD's. I use Acoustica to create my own DVD covers when I can't find one at the cover sites. Acoustica software does allow you to add text and create a nice quality cover.

I read about a workaround (a thread on AD somewhere) where you could save the image file in the Acoustica software, import it into PrintCD then print it out AFTER I sent the Epson 260 back for a refund. Darn thing kept jamming up the CD carrier then it finally quit loading the carrier. Looking for another printer that will work with Acousticas software. The CD Artist does along with a couple others that are very expensive but (for me) might be worth it. What I;m shopping for is a dedicated CD/DVD only printer such as the
FlashJet 4800 Color CD/DVD Inkjet Printer, Signature Z6, CD Artist and the Rimage 480i. These printers are over $500 and perhaps more. To me anything beats Epson (at least the $89 printer I had) so I'll never buy Epson again. I wonder if HP makes a decent CD/DVD capable printer? Will gave to google & find out!!

I use that feature all the time. It can save a jpeg image and then print it with Epson Print CD. Unless your problem with the Epson printer has to do with you not leaving enough room in back of the printer for the disc tray to extend out of the back when printing your situation then is not normal. If the tray doesn't have about 6" of space behind the printer problems will most certainly occur. I have two Epson CD/DVD printers and they both are fine machines. You do have to adjust the print tray when it comes out and tells you it was not set correctly but that is a minor problem known for these printers. Because of the cost of those other printers your considering I wouldn't let your experience with the Epson cloud your judgment. Just check around and you will see that most folks here at AD that have Epson CD/DVD printers think highly of them and the cost effective generic replacement inks they use. The Cannon is another great CD/DVD printer but is not sold in the US. Most folks that have those are in the UK. From what I have read, people that do have the HP model that prints directly on discs, reviews have not been favorable.

The Canon is sold in the US but disc printing is not enabled. You have to enable it by pushing a few buttons and buy a Canon tray off Ebay.
