hey i finally got back in the mood of trying to play iso files on my psp and i came to the same problem. usually i would just download an iso from emule and extracting or unzipping it (whichever u preffer), and then putting the folder in my GAME folder in my PSP folder. then i would look on my psp and it would say corrupted file. i dont know ahy it is doing this, but if someone could just teach me what to do from scratch, i would appreciate it. i would like to play downloaded iso's on my psp, and nay kind of help would be much appreciated. thank you!!

first things first, do you have the original sony firmware in the psp or have you put in a modified custom firmware. (or if you have a old version of the sony firmware like 1.50, in that case update to the newer custom one, not the sony official ones)

You cant run "backup media" from a standard PSP firmware. Firmware =PSP operating system.

If you have not done that yet, then you neet to head over to the PSP Mods and Firmware area of the forums. just read the sticky posts on the top of the threads. or just look around through the posts, this question gets asked like 10 times a day there :D

First things first, in order to play any isos you need to have any of these firmwares...

3.03 OE (A, B or C)
3.10 OE-A
3.30 OE-A
3.40 OE-A

This are custom firmwares are the only things that will let you load isos on your PSP.

After you have upgraded yo uneed to copy paste the isos on your ISO folder, not Game, so good luck you can find any tutorial here on how to upgrade to a custom firmware. :)

PSP (+[__]%): 2.80 < 1.50 > 3.40OE-A > 3.71M33-4 > 3.80m33-5 > 3.90m33-3 > 4.01m33-2 + 8gb MSPD
PS3 HD 60GB: 1.33 > 1.90 > 2.01 > 2.17 - NO OS
Nintendo DS [+[__]%]: EZ Flash 5 Plus + 1GB MicroSD + EZFlash 3in1
Nintendo Wii: 3.2U + 1GB SD Card + WiiKey 1.9s

i found these easily. what you need to do is to search for a 301 downgrader (or 303 downgrader since you could upgrade to 303.) but DO NOT upgrade past 303. that downgrader will take you to fw 1.50 from there search for a custom firmware. i recomend that you use 303 OE-C but thats just me its easier to find stuff for. then just download iso's and put them into an ISO folder on the first screen of your memory card(don't put it in any other folders) then you should be able to play them. you will probably want to find more specific guides for each part of this. Search first because you will get yelled at by people if you request guides before searching for them. this is kinda just like a check list for as you go along, good luck

Edit:
ps search for noob proof guides if your just starting out... its what i did and you only need to choose one firmware

look in my signature for tutorials...your going to need a copy of gta:lcs unpatched 2.00 version to downgrade from 3.03. If you dont have one you can check your local movie/video game store to see if they have one available to rent or purchase.

follow the tutorials in this order

1. downgrade from 3.03 to 1.5
2. upgrade from 1.5 to 3.03 oe-c

Once your at 3.03 oe-c, reformat your memory stick then you put your .iso and .cso games into your iso folder
