No sound on some HD channels on second HD set.

My wife and I just purchased a 23" Samsung LCD for a second room in our home. Our main tv is a Samsung 4663 DLP in the living room. The 4663 is connected to our Comcast HD two tuner Motorola DVR. We do not subscribe to any HD movie channels. We just get basic HD which includes local, ESPN, National Geographic, INHD, etc. The second tv (Samsung LCD) in the second room has a built in HD tuner. I didn't expect to get any hd stations with it without rabbit ears to pick up local stations. Much to my surprise, the local stations come in over the cable connection. However, ESPN, INHD, National Geographic come in but without sound. Is that normal? Would I need to rent another hd box from comcast to get those with sound? Am I not supposed to even get the local stations? Thanks!
