Nokia 6010 firmware??

Just upgraded from a nokia 6340i to this 6010.

Yes, yes I know but I don't need/want a camera, etc. I want a work-horse and a screen I can see when outside in the sunlight.
Anyway, this phone was used on T-Mobile and I use Cingular.
Is there any software or updates I need to do to the phone. I read other post about flashing the phone, etc. but not sure if this is needed.

Also for anyone who owns a 6010. I've noticed that when I have phone on ring and vibrate, it does not vibrate any near as hard as the 6340i. In fact I can hardly feel it unless it's in my hand.

any suggestions please,
