i would like to convert files i have i.e a 400mb wmv file down to a smaller range but i would like to keep the quality, maybe not the exact quality but close to it, i have xilisoft video converter 3 but i dont know wich type i should convert it to like mpeg4 or AVI, there are allot to choose from but can any 1 tell me wich is the best format i should change the wmv file to so its smaller.

AVI is everything. Mpeg4 is a codec. If you want small video file than that would be the format to use.
