I had Nerovision express, and it was great, worked perfectly, but then, suddenly it wouldn't let me open video files in which I had been editing in Nero, and whenever I tried, it would simply come up with 'nero has encountered a problem and needs to close....'
Then later it would suddenly close and say the same as above when I'm working on some video.

I've tried to email Nero for help, but they simply say download the patch, which hasn't helped in any way shape or form.

Does anyone here know what's happening to my Nero?

You may have to uninstall Nero, run the Nero Clean Tool then reinstall Nero.
You need to note your serial number if you do this.

I had to do this recently because Nero stopped giving logs.

EDIT:Before I uninstalled Nero, I went to the Control Panel Add/Remove Programs and selected 'change' at the Nero listing to do a repair, but it did not solve the problem - you might be luckier.
