Help!!! .wii file not unscrambling properly??

hi there. this is my first time trying to unscramble a .wii file to an iso using unscrambler 4 program...

when it finishes, instead of getting an iso file, it creates a .rar file instead with nothing really in it. i tried burning that file anyways using imgburn but it didnt work.

what am i doing wrong? please help!!

have you tried using the wii converter that is part of the rawdump 2.0 program

however are u sure its a rar thats created and not an iso

gointo options in WinRAR and where u can choose which extensions it is associated with untick iso

if the file is a xxx.iso then it will be right - burn it with imgburn then try in wii

thanks! ive tried that and now it's an .iso.

however, when i burn it using imgburn, it doesnt work. could it be because im using DVD+R and not DVD-R?

no it maybe that the wii doesnt tlike your particular brand of disc

i have both + and - maxell discs that work fine
try different brands

i will try other discs too make sure. im getting some verbatims since everyone seems to be using those...

also, does it matter what kind of dvd burner you use? or are those lg burners only needed when you want to make backups?

also, go into your folder options and uncheck "hide extensions for known file types" so you can actually see what file it is. Don't guess what file it is based off of the icon and the program that it's associated with. WinRAR will associate .iso files with itself so that they have the WinRAR icon but that doesn't mean that its a .rar file. Look at the three letter extension to know what kind of file it is not just the icon.
