MP4 Thumbnails in WMP

I have installed Haali and FFDShow so that I can now play mp4 files in WMP. It works fine but in order to open files I have to tell the open file dialogue box to show ALL FILES rather than ALL MEDIA FILES in order to open MP4 videos in MMP. Furthermore, I am not able to view all of my MP4 files as thumbnails in the library view mode of WMP. Is there any way to get WMP to recognize MP4 files as media files so that I can add MP4 files to my library and view all of my MP4 videos as thumbnails?
