I have a laptop and i want to backup my games, but if i buy the lg drive how would i connect it to my laptop. I do not have a pc

You can get a external case that you can run the drive in and will connect to your laptop via USB/Firewire. There are many offerings online, just search for 5.25" enclosures.

the enclosure is for a 5.25" cd-rom type drive... but it will hold a 3.5" hard disk drive as well... that's why it has 3.5" in the title.. but that enclosure is for cd-roms.... etc..

as long as your laptop meets requirements of everything I don't see a reason why it shouldn't... I'll be happy to tell you how it worked for me as soon as it arrives... but I probably won't get to try anything til next week unless it comes before friday... canoe trip with girlfriend's family... i'll be out of town..

ziggi if you are asking whether or not an external usb cd drive enclosure will work with your laptop or not, maybe you shouldn't be attempting anything as advanced as modding a wii and backing up games. That's a pretty basic function of pluggin in a usb device into your laptop and it doesn't sound like you are that versed in computer technology.

LOL, okay, calm down smokey! I guess you probably are a better technician than me. What was I thinking... yeah, your right, you're so good that you can squeeze a 5.5" DVD-ROM into a 3.5" enclosure!
