Siple task = simple software. Windows Movie maker should be fine.

Any format of photo should be fine too, just make sure that WMM supports them ;)

Ok, cool.

Btw, make sure you have Movie Maker 2 (it's just the updated version by Microsoft, so is free from their website, just google it).

Really.. Oh well, whatever. Let's get on with the video..

To make your video it's quite easy.. Just import your pictures using the menu bar to the left and then you can import them to the storyboard or timeline and edit the transitions effects etc there. You can also add music provided it's unprotected :-)

Any help just ask.

When you go to import, try holding down shift or ctrl and then clicking multiple files. might work.

And when you come to save it, you save the compilation as a movie file :-)

You can't add to the saved movie file once saved - you have to edit the project file and re-save.

Depends what size the file is as to whether it will fit on a CD and depends if your player supports video playback in the format you saved it as.

Chances are it won't read WMv straight from disc. Save as an AVI file then burn and try it.

If not, you're going to have to convert those files and put them on a dvd for your player to read. :-)

I know, but we're making the AVI file now that will come to need converting.

Some players can play AVI straight form disc. others require the AVI to be converted to dvd video format files.

At present, you have a group of files put together which needs to be saved to get your AVI which may or may not need converting

get me? lol :)

Depends. How big is the file? What formats can your dvd player support?

didn't answer either question realy. Right click your movie file and go to properties then tell me what size it is.

Also, I need file type lists - unless you are sure it plays lots of diff file types.

Oh, not very big at all then. Ok, burn it to a CD as a data CD and then play the file off the CD in your player.
