Burning DVD+R Error Messages with NERO

Im trying to burn a backup of a movie... I have a 2 yr and she scratches all of her cartoons and then its another $20 that I have to spend... I have tried everything using this DVD+RW... I received a message one way saying that writing file to disc failed... illegal disc... I started using Nero a different way and get a message saying writing file to disc failed... Burn process failed at 2.4x.... This is the LOG... Can anyone tell me what this means...??? Is it the media (type disc Im using), writer or what????

Try a write once DVD+R disc, instead of a DVD+RW. They are cheaper and more stable than re-writables.
Also, I saw this:

The DMA should be on. Try this:
To ensure your drives are operating in DMA mode: (1) Control Panel, (2) System, (3) Goto the Hardware Tab, (4) Device Manager, (5) IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers, (6) Right Click on Primary IDE Channel --> Properties, (7) Goto the Advanced Settings Tab, Make sure both drop down boxes say 'DMA if Available', Click OK,(8) Right Click on Seconady IDE Channel --> Properties, (9) Goto the Advanced Settings Tab, Make sure both drop down boxes say 'DMA if Available', Click OK, (10) Reboot.(Thanks to Praetor)

You will always experience problems when it comes to burning DVDs...it is recommended to have a minimum of 512mb RAM to burn successfully...I would recommend you increase your RAM
You will also need a prog such as AnyDVD to break any copy protections on original disc.
