If i cant find a 3 awg wire any where can i use a wire from around the house like a old controller wire from the cord to solder the wiikey?

I hope you mean 30 awg, you should find some at radioshack, home depot, osh, lowe's, yardbirds, any home improvement place dude. As for the wire lying around, don't even screw with it. I doubt electronic wire you find around the house will even be around 30 awg, probably more like 20, which is humongous for the modchip.
