I burned this game, and everything plays fine but the screen position is shifted down and I can only see 3/4 of the screen, the bottom is cut off. How (if possible) can I fix this? Thank you for any help

sounds like someone tried a pal2ntsc conversion and got the x/y coordinates wrong.

have you tried loading it with an emulator?
or looking for a different copy of the same game?

also: is it a PSX or PS2 game, cd or dvd based, and what region?

no I haven't tried loading it with an emulator, and I probably won't because I am playing the game on my ps2 and not the computer.

This is a psx cd game and I do not know the region. Would a PAL version mess up like this on the tv? If so, how can I convert it to NTSC? How do you convert it, use what program and how?

I would recommend you at least try loading copies you have with an emu before burning, this simply saves making a coaster and also saves frustration with screen alignment issues.

playing PAL games on an NTSC television, more often than not (unless your TV is specifically designed to handle PAL input) causes problems, sometimes its a simple color shift (read as heavy green tint), sometimes the difference in Hz sync are obvious (read as vertical scrolling), and in the case of a poorly done pal2ntsc conversion, there might be a heavy red tint to the screen, or the screen's x/y offset is wrong.

loading with an emulator will at least negate most of these problems, and it would be able to tell you what format the disc was intended for, be it PAL or NTSC.

unfortunately the only pal2ntsc program i know of requires a special software for ripping, and only works about 20% of the time.

Ill dig into the issue, and post an informative guide soon.

if you would like, contact me off-forum, and we'll figure out a way for me to get a hold of that iso, or perhaps replace it with one of my own, for i have just about all of them.
