DVD won't play- plays the initial trailers and not the main movie.

Hi,

I backed up a movie sometime back and while I tried to play, it just plays the initial trailers and not the main movie. I thought it might the disc went bad but I was able to copy all the 4 big VTS_ files on the dvd to my harddisk without any read error. I did a complete scan of the DVD for CRC errors but nothing found. Its quite strange. When I try to read the DVD through CloneDVD it just reads the trailers and advertisements and not shows info about the main movie.

Any help?

Does the disk play on the PC with your software player?
If it doesn't, download and run DVD Shrink.
http://www.mrbass.org/dvdshrink/

Open the disk and let Shrink load it.
If Shrink can load it without error, the main movie will be highlighted.
Click on the play button to see if it plays ok.
If Shrink cannot load it then the DVD structure is wrong.
