I think this is the program that is on the Wii Multi Boot DVD. Anyways, anytime I play a game like Mario, I go back to the menu, go to SDRam or whatever, and save to my memory card slot A. Afterwards, if I load it back up, nothing is there. How the heck do I get this to save? It's driving me nuts.

Make sure you save the regular way you would in Mario then toggle the yellow joy stick on the GC controller and save in SDRAM like you have.

When you want to play the game you need to load the ROM first then load the game save file Via SDRAM and start the game.

okay, did what you said, saved in mario then saved to memory card slot A. now, when i load up mario, load my save from slot A, and go to the screen, it shows: SAVE 1__1W__1 Player. But when i load it up, it still shows that i have not beat the first level (just beat the first one and saved to test it). any clues people?

what Mario ROM are you playing?

Ill test it out and see how to do it. But the steps above should be correct.

If this is the original Mario game for NES then there is no way to save. You couldn't save the game when playing on the NES system so there should be no way to save now either.

The Game ROM will have to have a save feature included in the game for you to be able to save. If it doesn't then you will not be able to save.

it was mario 3, on mario all stars. it did have a save option in the game, which i used, then backed out of the rom with the c stick, and saved to slot A on the emulator. when i reload the rom, before i do anything i go back and load from slot A, and it shows some info in the save, but does not show i have beat any levels.

Here are the directions which I double checked with the Emulator disc and played them defeating the first level and saving.

For the NES Emulator...

(Super Mario 3)

Choose ROM from DVD and start game.

When your ready to save press L and R at the same time and go to SDRAM options and save.

When your ready to play again choose the ROM again like before. When the title screen comes up press L and R and go to SDRAM options and chose LOAD SAVE. It will then start where you left off.

For the SNES Emulator...

(Mario All-Star/Super Mario 3)

Choose Mario All-Star in the Load ROM menu from DVD.

Start playing the game. When you want to save and stop playing press start and choose to save game and quiet. When it goes to the title screen toggle the yellow joy pad and go to SDRAM settings and choose SAVE GAME (SLOT A).

When you want to play again. Choose Mario All-Stars as the ROM as before. After you choose and it loads the ROM go to the SDRAM settings and choose LOAD GAME SAVE (SLOT A)

When it loads the game save, exit out of the SDRAM menu and choose B to start playing with the game save loaded.

Make sure you are choosing LOAD GAME SAVE(Slot A) and not choosing SAVE GAME (SLOT A) choosing SAVE GAME (SLOT A) will over write the previous game save and make you start from the beginning again.
